Shingara is very popular Bangladeshi snack. Now with the huge influx of this community into developed countries, this snack spread its popularity outside its native country. It is pretty much like samosa but it is little more tricky to fold shingara. The ingredients of this delicious snack is potato, peas, chopped carrot, black pepper, green chilies, cilantro,cumin,black cumin if you want to make vegetable one.
1. Fist boil the potatoes, peel them off and chop them into little pieces it.
2. Then add peas and chopped carrots
3. Add salt to your taste
4. Add black pepper
5. Add green chopped chilies
6. Add cumin powder
7.Fry onion to make it brown with oil
8. Add some cilantro leaves
9.Add black cumin
Mix all the ingredients well and then fry them with sizzling soybean oil. Make sure not to add a lot of oil, because you are going to fry it again after you fold shingara.
After frying them, cool them down. The covering can be made with flour or you can buy them at stores.
Make sure they are round shaped. If they are triangle, you can just get rid of the corners to make them round shaped. After folding them fry the shingara with sizzling hot oil. Serve Shingara with ketchup and salad.
