India is one of the largest countries in the world. It is one of the most populated as well. With its fast growing economy and lots of beautiful attractions, tourists flock to India to explore them.If anyone from western country visits India, he will find India pretty different from the west. One needs to be careful to stay healthy and not to be victim to any fraudulence. Followings are few things that include but not limited to, to make sure a safe and enjoyable trip.
- It is not wise to drink water from an open source. So it is better to drink coconut juice, soda or other juices from the store, or at least bottled water from a good store.
- Always check the expiration date and if you do not see any date. It is better to stay away from that products especially food.
- Do not book a hotel room just by seeing the brochure or listening to what the hotel manager says when it is an inexpensive hotel.
- Make sure about the arrangement of hotel for warm water in winter and electricity supply, especially if the hotels are cheap ones.
- With a little price difference you might get a better hotel room with a fascinating view if you book a hotel in a tourist destination.
- Make sure the hotel has heater and warm water if it is a cold place like Darjeeling, Shimla, Shilong in winter because the temperature drops to a freezing level.
- Do not trust everyone when it is about money or taking to different places without any proper source.
- Do not walk by yourself in a lonely place in dark.
- It is better to avoid street food that is not warm or that has water in it like pani puri.
- It is better to rent a car from a tour operator that has a permanent office or place.
- Do not take all your cash with your when you travel far away place.
- Do not accept food from an unfamiliar person or even a person who gets familiar on your way to any place in India.
