California is the third largest state in size and the most populous state in USA. It is the 31 state once owned by Mexico, later California became a land of USA following the war in 1846. To many people California is the state of beaches and movies. Yes Hollywood in CA is the movie capital of the world, but it is not only the state of movies and beaches, it has probably the most attractions of all the states in USA.
With plenty of sun and fun, it is known as golden state as well. Coast, valley, plain, downtown and desert constitute the state land. It is a state of numerous immigrants mostly of Hispanic origin. Northern part of the state has a huge Chinese community while the South has countless people with Hispanic ethnicity. Now California is one of the most popular tourist destinations of not only in the country but in the world as well. there are 57 counties and 480 cities in California. Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco are the three big and populous cities in the state.The coastline covers almost1264 miles but the beaches in South are sunnier than that of northern ones. The beaches in North have stones and they are colder and foggier.
California is one of the leading agricultural region of the country. Its agricultural production dos not just cater to the local need, it helps to the need of other states as well.Since it does not get snow- covered here during winter like many East Coast states, the warm weather has a positive impact on the agriculture.
